Gaming

With the release of Sony’s Play Station Portable (PSP) on December 12, 2004 in Japan, March 24, 2005 in North America, and September 1, 2005 in the PAL region was a big break through in mobile gaming. Their hand-held console was the first of its kind to use optical disks and a large screen. The device could also connect to the internet through a wireless connection and to a PlayStation 3 gaming console.

During September of 2007, Sony released their slim and lite model. It was 33% lighter and 19% thinner than the original PSP. The new design gave the PSP new features like charging through USB, composite TV output and a brighter screen.

The PSP may seem kind of boring because it is a single hand-held console but because of its ad hoc feature, it can connect to other PSP consoles for multiplayer games. Also, the PSP has the capability to store pictures and music which turns it into a media player as well.
